Job Description
- The Warehouse and Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's warehouse operations and procurement processes.
- This includes ensuring efficient storage and movement of inventory, sourcing and purchasing goods and services, and maintaining accurate inventory records as well as ensure that all inventory is stored, organized and accounted for and efficient running of the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement warehouse and procurement policies and procedures
- Monitoring inventory levels and implementing inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts. Conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory management and record keeping
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating prices and terms of agreements
- Monitoring and controlling warehouse and procurement expenses to optimize operational costs. Identifying areas for cost savings and implementing cost reduction strategies
- Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective procurement practices
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained
- Monitor and analyze warehouse and procurement performance metrics and provide reports to management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Manage and train warehouse and procurement staff
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and procurement management prererably in a dairy industry
- Knowledge of inventory management software and systems
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Ability to lead and manage a team
