Role Description

  • This is a full-time role for a Head of Human Resources. As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions and operations within Medplus Pharmacy Limited.
  • Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing HR policies, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws.
  • This role is primarily located in Lagos, but flexibility for remote work is available.

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s overall business goals.
  • Advise Senior management on HR related matters and contribute to Strategic decision making

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to identify, attract and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective job descriptions.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new employees.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, disputes and performance issues.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee’s engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns and resolve issues

HR Information Systems (HRIS):

  • Implement and manage HRIS to streamline HR processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports to supports data driven decision-making.

Performance Management and Training:

  • Compensation and Benefits - Oversee payroll management and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and tax obligations
  • HR Policy Development, DEI and Employee Wellbeing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Human Resources (HR) management and HR policies expertise
  • Deep understanding of labor and employment laws
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus.
