Job Description
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services.Assist customers with any issues or concerns related to their transactions.
- Ring up purchases and ensure that prices and quantities are accurate.Accept payments in the form of cash, credit cards, or other accepted methods.
- Issue receipts and change to customers.
- Count and verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and handle any discrepancies appropriately.
- Process refunds or exchanges as needed.
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions.
- Scan and input product information into the system.
- Learn and stay updated on the features and functions of the POS system.
- Keep the cashier area clean and organized.Arrange and display promotional materials as required.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth flow of customer transactions.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members and management.
Requirements
- SSCE, OND or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
