Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning.
Cost Management:
- Analyze and report on cost variances and cost control measures.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare financial models and projections to assist in investment and financing decisions.
- Perform profitability analysis for different business units and products.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare and present management reports to senior leadership.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial support and guidance.
Systems and Processes:
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain ERP systems for better financial management.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior finance staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage 300, SAP).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
