Job Overview
- Benel Energy Resources Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Officerto join our dynamic team.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment and general maintenance of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical, and electrical systems, equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety in the facility
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Coordinate with external contractors/vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support for special events or projects requiring facility setup or maintenance.
- Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records. .
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with industry standards.

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- OND / HND or equivalent; Technical certification or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
- 3 - 7 years relevant work experience. .
- Proven experience as a technical maintenance officer or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical systems and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills..
