Job Title: CCTV Operator - Plant Security
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and reviewing surveillance camera footage to ensure the safety and security of the plant premises, personnel, and assets.
- The role involves active observation, incident reporting, coordination with security personnel, and ensuring all surveillance systems are fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance Monitoring:
- Monitor live CCTV footage of all plant areas (entrances, production zones, warehouses, etc.).
- Identify suspicious activity, safety violations, or unauthorized access in real-time.
- Maintain constant vigilance during duty hours with attention to detail.
Incident Reporting:
- Record and report any irregular or illegal activity immediately to the security supervisor or management.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily surveillance activities and incidents.
- Assist in investigations by providing recorded footage and detailed incident reports.
System Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV and monitoring systems.
- Ensure all cameras are functional, clean, and properly positioned.
- Report any technical issues or system malfunctions to IT or maintenance staff.
Access Control Support:
- Monitor and log all vehicle and personnel entry/exit activities.
- Coordinate with gate security staff to verify IDs, passes, and visitor protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
- OND, HND, BSC
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a CCTV Operator, preferably in a plant or industrial setting.
