Job Summary

  • We are seeking a meticulous and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our team.
  • The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and quality control processes, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Identify deviations, defects, and non-conformities and provide timely feedback to project teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions. Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other documentation as required by project specifications and quality management systems.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, procedures, and checklists for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to establish quality objectives, metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Coordinate and oversee material testing activities, including sampling, testing, and analysis of construction materials such as concrete, steel, asphalt, and aggregates. Ensure that materials meet specified standards and requirements before use in construction.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements and contractual obligations. Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess compliance with quality management standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality management principles, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement among project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards related to quality, safety, and environmental management. Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates that may impact construction activities.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address underlying causes and prevent recurrence of quality problems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, lessons learned sessions, and post-project reviews to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control roles in the construction and real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality assurance standards.
  • Certification in quality management is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and construction management software.
