We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pen Manager

Locations: Igbessa, Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun and Badagry, Egbeda, Igando - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the poultry pens, including feeding, rubbing, checking of nipples and cleaning of the facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pens to ensure the health and welfare of the birds, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Monitor and control disease outbreaks, working closely with the veterinarian and other farm staff to develop and implement control measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of bird health, feed usage, and biosecurity protocols.
  • Supervise and train farm staff in poultry pen management practices, including animal care, feeding, rubbing of feed, checking of nipples and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including those related to animal welfare, food safety, and environmental protection.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the productivity and profitability of the poultry enterprise.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with feed, labor, and supplies.
  • Identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to animal health, biosecurity, or environmental protection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure a high level of service and quality.

Salary
N70,000 - N75,000 / month.
