Job Description
- Identify and acquire new business opportunities to expand the portfolio of the company and generate sales.
- Conduct market research to identify target markets, customer segments, and competitor analysis.
- Develop and execute strategies to attract new property owners and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential business partners.
- Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and customer segments.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify key traveller segments, including business travellers, tourists, and expatriates.
- Analyse market trends, travel patterns, and competitor offerings to identify unique selling points and opportunities for business growth.
- Stay updated on travel industry developments, government policies, and regulatory changes that may impact the market.
- Develop strategies to approach and engage potential clients and partners.
- Generate leads and establish contact with key decision-makers in target organizations.
- Create a vendor verification process to ensure no fraudulent vendors are allowed to market the company’s property.
New Business Acquisition:
- Identify and prospect potential clients within the travel industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, corporate travel managers, and relocation companies.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads and opportunities.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and secure partnerships that drive bookings and revenue.
Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives to drive bookings and increase occupancy rates.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create compelling promotional materials, listings, and online presence.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify market opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Develop pricing strategies and packages to optimize revenue generation while ensuring competitiveness.
- Develop a system to track customer satisfaction with an in-house metric to be communicated to the team.
Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and alliances with property management companies, travel agencies, corporate clients, and online platforms.
- Establish strategic partnerships with travel agencies, online travel platforms, airlines, and other relevant stakeholders to expand our reach and attract travellers.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the industry.
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing campaigns, cross-promotions, and referral programs.
- Establish a loyalty-based system to drive customer retention.
Relationship Building and Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and potential business partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure a seamless guest experience and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to gather guest reviews and testimonials, leveraging positive feedback for marketing purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build a strong professional network.
Marketing and Branding:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns that highlight the unique features and benefits of our short stay apartments to travellers.
- Leverage various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, and travel industry publications, to reach and engage the traveler audience.
- Participate in travel industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish connections within the industry.
Performance Analysis And Reporting:
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), such as occupancy rates, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, optimize pricing strategies, and drive revenue growth.
- Present reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Train existing staff on procedures to be carried out pertaining to interactions with guests and potential customers.
- Ensure proper management and reports of the properties in the Lagos environ.
