Job Description
- As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our retail store.
- You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, optimizing sales performance, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff to ensure efficient operation of the store.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor inventory levels, order merchandise, and manage stock rotation to minimize shrinkage and maximize profitability.
- Ensure the store's visual merchandising standards are maintained to attract customers and enhance the shopping experience.
- Assist in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, striving to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and meet revenue targets.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and analyze sales and performance reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating retail staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the store manager.
Requirements
- HND in Business Administration or related field (B.Sc. / BA in Business Administration or relevant field preferred)
- 4 years of experience working in a retail environment (minimum, more preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of retail management best practices
- Outstanding organizing and leadership skills
- Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
- Excellent knowledge of retail management software.
