Job Summary

  • We are delighted to announce an exciting job opportunity for a skilled and experienced Hotel Accountant to join our esteemed team.
  • As a Hotel Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our hotel. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, along with relevant educational qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other accounting software is essential. Additionally, experience with PMS (Property Management System), POS (Point of Sale), booking engine, and related systems is highly desirable.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the hotel, including sales revenues, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the hotel's budgeting and forecasting processes, providing comprehensive reports to the management team.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Utilize PMS, POS, and booking engine systems to record sales, track revenue, and analyze financial data.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize financial risks.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial reports to relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in hotel accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant in the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Experience with PMS, POS, booking engine, and related systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems and software is highly desired.
