The Role

  • The role will be responsible for communicating with the clients on the status of their orders placed, developing, and implementing effective processes, and planning all aspects of logistics operations including inbound/outbound logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline logistic operations.
  • Coordinate and manage end-end logistics operations from the point the order is ready for delivery from vendor(s) to our warehouse.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing for freight and regulatory agents.
  • Processing of shipping document(s) -Form M, SONCAP, … With the relevant agencies.
  • Coordinate with freight agents to ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Monitor freight agents’ performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on logistics activities, freight forwarder performance, and cost savings initiatives.
  • Regular Communication of order status to the client when the order is ready from vendor and while in transit.
  • Identify reliable freight partners, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships based on quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Develop and implement logistic strategies and policies to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery fulfilments.
  • Provide the export document to vendors upon reception from the freight forwarder.
  • Identifying and On-boarding of freight agents
  • Analyzing different freight cost

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Supply Chain Management or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Supply Chain, Transport, and Logistics or Warehouse and distribution.
  • Highly goal-driven and works well in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Enjoy finding creative solutions to problems.
  • Proficiency in accounting/inventory Software (Sage, Zoho, etc)
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound time-management and organizational skills.
